Terms of Service

These terms explain the deal when you use TopDock. We've kept them short and in plain language. By installing or using TopDock, you agree to them.

1. Who these terms are with

These terms are between you and the makers of TopDock ("we").

2. What TopDock is

TopDock is a Windows app that shows your Gmail, Outlook, X, Reddit and LinkedIn accounts and a todo list in a bar at the top of your screen. It runs on your PC and connects directly to those services. We don't run a server that stores your data. Our Privacy Policy explains what's stored where.

3. Early versions

TopDock is new and still being tested. Early versions may have bugs, and features may change, be added or be removed. Please keep your own backups of anything important; your mail itself stays with your email provider.

4. Your licence to use TopDock

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to install and use TopDock on computers you own or control. Please don't resell it, remove our notices, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows you to.

5. Your accounts and third-party services

TopDock works with services run by other companies: Google (Gmail), Microsoft (Outlook), X, Reddit and LinkedIn. When you connect an account, you use it under that company's own terms and policies, and you're responsible for your account and what you send from it.

Those companies can change or limit what their APIs allow, sometimes without notice. If they do, some TopDock features may stop working or change. We'll do our best to keep up, but we can't promise every feature will always be available.

6. Using TopDock responsibly

Don't use TopDock to send spam, harass people, break the law, or break the rules of the services you connect. TopDock doesn't post or reply automatically, and please don't try to make it do so.

7. Your content

Your emails, posts, drafts and todos are yours. We don't receive them and claim no rights to them.

8. Updates

TopDock can download updates in the background so you get fixes and improvements. You can turn automatic installation off in Settings. Some updates may be needed to keep TopDock working with the services it connects to.

9. No warranty

We work hard to make TopDock reliable, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that it will never miss or delay a message. Don't rely on TopDock as your only way to receive urgent messages.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or missed messages, arising from your use of TopDock. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer under the law where you live.

11. Ending

You can stop using TopDock at any time: disconnect your accounts and uninstall it. We may stop offering TopDock or a feature of it; if we do, we'll try to give reasonable notice.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as TopDock changes. We'll update the date at the top, and for significant changes we'll tell you in the app or on this website before they take effect.

13. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [COUNTRY], without taking away any protection you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live.
